hello, I'm Kelley Griffin
I’m an author, but I’m also much more than that. A mom to five sons, wife to a marine and a teacher to tiny humans plus the occasional hostess, cheer coach, and youth group leader. I write Romantic Suspense novels in my closet (and sometimes home office) with characters you’ll ponder on long after the last page.
Can’t Live Without:
Hmmm. First —Shoes. Now wait…I’m not one of those shoe hoarders as in I have expensive taste and need new Milanos more than air. No. I NEED shoes because I don’t like to go barefoot inside the house. So ANY shoe will do. But I NEED them. I hate the feeling of dirt or crumbs or dog hair on my feet. (Makes me want to go sweep my floor right now.)
Second—water. I carry water with me wherever I go. My #3 once told his third-grade teacher that his mama had a “drinking problem.” Yep. Because she “has to have water everywhere she goes.” The teacher got a good laugh out of that one.
Third —Hugs from my five. It’s like air for me. Even the two that have moved out. When they walk in the door I run to them as if I’m a dog and they carry bacon in their pockets. I hug my kids a lot.
Favorite Travel Spot:
My favorite travel spot is anywhere in the world where a campfire can be a part of the vacation. I would love to go to the beach, but it would need to include one of those cool scenes from a movie where you can have a campfire on the beach. Mountains…yes, so long as there will be a campfire.
